This Hot Wheels Chevy Team Transport Set #91 features ’66 Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger & ’72 Chevy Ramp Truck. The Yenko Stinger was a race track only modification of the Chevrolet Corvair Corsa. Yenko Stinger casting debuted in 2022 in Car Culture Jay Leno’s Garage series. Subsequently, it also appeared in 2024 Boulevard series and then to this Team Transport set #91 in 2026. The 2022 release depicts the original Yenko Stinger white color with blue stripes.
The ’72 Hot Wheels Chevy Ramp Truck is a licensed C/K-based Hot Wheels Chevy casting. Hot Wheels debuted this casting in 2023 in the Team Transport series. The Ramp Truck has appeared in multiple Team Transport releases as below,
- Hot Wheels first released it in 2023 in Team Transport set #54 along with ’61 Impala.
- Hot Wheels released it second time in 2024 in Team Transport set #64 with ’66 Chevelle.

Motorsport Heritage
The Yenko Stinger carved out a unique motorsport legacy in the mid 1960s. Don Yenko purposely designed it to challenge the dominant Shelby Mustang in the SCCA D Production racing class. Don Yenko transformed the compact Chevrolet Corvair through weight reduction, suspension tuning and engine performance stages. SCCA initially classified the Corvair as a sedan. So, Yenko ‘re-manufactured’ the vehicle into a two passenger sports car by removing the rear seats. He proved that agile, rear engine engineering could compete with higher horsepower muscle cars.
Historians and racing enthusiasts have well documented the Yenko Stinger’s SCCA racing record. Yenko placed Jerry Thompson in a Stinger to show what the cars could achieve. Jerry Thompson won a Division Championship while finishing fifth in the season ending American Road Race of Champions. The following year, he scored the national championship. Dick Thompson had won the Northeast Division Championship. Furthermore, he established a notable lap record at Virginia International Raceway, demonstrating the vehicle’s superior agility. Jim Spencer had won the Central Division Championship.
The SCCA’s American Road Race of Champions is the recognized national club road racing championship in the United States. It is historically significant and well documented. However, SCCA D-Production was amateur/club competition by definition. It was not a professional series, which distinguishes it from NHRA, IMSA or DRM.
